IMG_5074Abby Papendieck, LMBT is originally from the Chicago area and her passion for culture took her to New Orleans where she studied massage therapy. Abby has a deep understanding of the effects that everyday stressors have on our bodies. Abby specializes in restorative massage incorporating many modalities including deep tissue therapy, Neuromuscular therapy, stress relief, multi-pressure muscle work, and relaxation techniques. Abby’s passions include meditation, family and friends, traveling and exploring, and kombucha!

His prior experience as a medical provider in the military as well as his own history with PTSD and addiction has led him to the healing path of manual holistic practices. He has benefited the most from the his experiences with polyvagal theory, cranialsacral, five elements and dance. His interests for continuing education are Tom Myer’s Anatomy Trains and Chinese Medicine.

FullSizeRenderRecently graduated from The Healing Arts Massage School in Raleigh.  Her Journey in the healing arts field began with the development of a daily yoga practice, this being a modality and catalyst for her own healing.  She is moved by the therapeutic effects massage has on the physical and emotional level, honoring the connection they have with one another. She blends soothing lymphatic massage with energy healing.

Kim Calandra started practicing acupuncture in 2004. With much passion and vigor, Kim established Carrboro Community Acupuncture in 2013. “I think quality healthcare needs to be accessible to the public. Mainstreaming Eastern Medicine, raising teenage daughters, dance and yoga are Kim’s focus in life.
